Why me?

My friend asked me a strange question...something i've never had to answer before. I have thought of it a few times but never has anyone put this question to me.
She asked me," didi aapko aisa nahi lagta ki aapke dad ko yeh problem kyun hai. aapko kabhi why me waali feeling nahi aati?"I wouldn't have been able to answer her had it not been for ANIL. Naa..he's not a new friend. He's the presenter of a radio show called 'between the sheets' on meow fm. {n im not being paid to write this;)}
He narrated his own experience when his father was diagnosed with brain tumor. He said' "My first reaction to this news was, WHY ME?? But i soon realised that saying why me was as good as saying why not someone else?" I don't think i really appreciated what he had said then but the moment she asked me this i told her the same thing and that too almost instantly. i didn't know that sub consciously i had registered what he had said.
Today i completely agree with him. Why me is as good as saying why not someone else and i do not wish anyone to go through anything like this.
